I like it!
Ease of Use
Pull The Trigger ?
I was in the market for a featherboard when I purchased a new cabinet saw (Grizzly G0690). Standing in the aisle at Woodcraft there were certainly a lot of options. I was look at the really inexpensive ones but just kept going back to the Featherpro thinking "Why is this one so much more appealing?"
The knobs are large and once tighten the board doesn't budge at all in the miter slot. It has replaceable feathers which is pretty awesome! The feathers are soft enough to never mar surface.
I really wish the original kit came with a replacement feather. You get two for half the cost as the original rig. If it came with a replacement initially I probably would buy a second rig rather than just the replacements.
The featherPro outperforms any of the shop made feather boards I've made and used. The one drawback, if you're feeding some rough cut through, you will rapidly wear out the feathers but you can always pick up replacements. The green part is super tough plastic and the miter bars are made well so this thing is going to last you a long time!
